Drawing animals from life

Minimum no of students 4, max 10

During this workshop you will get the opportunity to learn some techniques needed to draw animals from life. These techniques include blind & semi blind contour, tip to toe, memory drawing, quick measuring techniques and simplifying the form into simple shapes. Other techniques will included developing observation skills,  and repeat drawings. I will demonstrate a range of approaches needed to draw a wide variety of animals at various times during the day and then give you time to practise these techniques.

While at the zoo you will get the opportunity to draw lions, monkeys, Australian animals, reptiles, birds and others. Some  basic drawing skills are required.
