Commissions

The Process

To commission a work is very easy.

Step 1

Once a topic, style, size, and medium are chosen and agreed upon by both the artist and the commissioner, I will advise you of the cost. The cost includes consultation on layout and composition and production of the final piece. Once the final composition  at the planning stage , is agreed upon any extra changes  on the final piece by the commissioner will incur extra costs. Please note some media will cost more to change than other, or may not be able to be changed without redoing the whole piece.

Step 2

Most work is done using photographs. If the photograph supplied is not suitable I will advise you on either getting better photographs or take my own if possible. If  the photograph is not suitable I will not proceed with the work.

Step 3

Once the reference supplied is okay I will draw up some layout/composition/ tonal sketches for the you to choose and then agree upon. Once both have agreed I will proceed and do my job as the artist. I reserve the right to produce the final work at my artistic discretion.

Step 4

I will photograph the final piece for you to see and once payment is received the work will be delivered to you.
